Good to know
Make sure the cushions are completely dry before storing them in the storage bag.
Place the storage box so that water is not able to enter through the ventilation holes in the bottom of the box.
We recommend to not completely fill the storage box ― this allows air to circulate inside it. If air is allowed to circulate in the storage box when it is closed, the products stay fresh for longer.
If you store textiles in the storage box they will stay in best condition by being stored in a dry and cool place indoors during the off-season.
The storage box can be filled up to a maximum of 154 lbs if the weight is spread evenly in the box.
Possible to separate for recycling or energy recovery if available in your community.

Review: Unfortunately it’s not meeting my quality expectations as other Ikea products. The corners of the top are cracking which is a big surprise. Also I wasn’t aware that I would need a liner. Moisture got inside via bottom holes along floor. Hardened 2 bags of cement that I couldn’t remove alone.

Review: The size is perfect for us. I needed something to hold large lawn chairs and 2 2-person hammocks. Vrenen is sturdy enough without being unwieldy and it’s keeping everything dry. The lid props open easily. Pay attn during assembly for where the threaded posts go…easy to fix but annoying to have to. The grey color looks fine and I’m happy that the panel grooves aren’t that deep so they shouldn’t catch dirt.

Review: This is advertised for outdoor use, and that may be so if you don't care of your stored items get damp. After assembly the lid doesn't lay completely flat, I think it is because the top is so big (and a bit flimsy) it is warped a bit. The sides will allow water to blow in in a heavy rain. The price is great, and it works fine for us because we keep it in the garage to store patio furniture cushions.

Review: Bought this about a month ago and it sits on my deck next to my house. The bottom is already coming detached from the sides. Yes I could return it but in order to do so, I have to take it apart which was VERY time consuming and then figure out how to get it in pieces back to the store. Very disappointed, I’ve always found my ikea mercy to be of high quality.

Review: After owning this for less than 6 months, I noticed that small amounts of water would seep into the box through the joints. However this was the least of the problems.
The latch mechanism for this box is extremely weak. In normal wind conditions, the latch came undone, and the top was blown open, and came completely off the hinges. Everything inside was soaked.
I'd submit pictures of the damage if the review had allowed it.
I would not recommend this product unless the latch is more secure. That, or IKEA should provide a cover for this storage box to protect it from the elements.
