Review: I loved this rug the day I saw it & brought it home. It was beautiful, super soft, & had the organic look I wanted. Here I am 2 years later, & the rug is still shedding! Not only does it shed, but it blows all over the house when the windows are open. I vacuum often & have vacuumed the rug numerous times in hopes it would eventually stop shedding. Today, the rug is going in the trash! Looking forward to something that doesn't make a mess of my house!

Review: The rug is super soft and a creamy white color with specks of light gray. There was no smell and no shedding. Absolutely gorgeous rug for our entry way. I’m a little nervous that vacuuming which may pull out fibers. This may be alleviated by turning off the rotating brushes. Anyone have tips about vacuuming?

Review: I bought this rug after seeing it on display at my local ikea. I originally was going to go for the shag rug but was instantly struck by how much more character this had.

I bought it without reading reviews and was immediately struck with dread when I saw the bunch of 1 star reviews after getting home. I was tempted to keep it rolled and just take it back for the shag, but by that time my husband had lugged it upstairs and into our bedroom.

I took a chance, uncurled it and… it was exactly what we expected! No smell. Super soft and now after a week - no wool fluff (at least yet - that’s something I can deal with)

I wish it was a little bigger but it works perfectly for the bottom half of our queen bed. Would highly recommend!

Review: After reading the other reviews here, I was prepared for issues with shedding and smell. However, I've not experienced any of those issues after a month -- maybe I got lucky, or they got unlucky? It does not shed at all, and had no smell when I removed from the packaging. Feels quite soft, not scratchy.
I will say, the first picture on the website is not an accurate representation of the color. Mine is very creamy white.
Would definitely repurchase!

Like, so much so I had to come back and write a review months later. From day one there’s been clumps of white wool all over my living room. It’s really a deal breaker. Im replacing it after only 4 months or so.

Review: I purchased this rug over two weeks ago and despite the rug being soft, warm and absolutely perfect for our living room -- (I hate to say this) it still smells barnyardy. I was really hoping that the other reviewers just had a more refined sense of smell, but they were right on. Has anyone found a solution to removing the stink? Or, am I going to have to make the tough decision between can I live with it or does it need to go back to the store??

Review: I was sick of synthetic fibers and excited to see a fully wool rug at ikea. It really gives the room a comfy but bright feel. Be warned, when you first open it it will smell like a petting zoo, but that dissipated over a few days and I sped up the process by sprinkling it with baking soda and vacuuming the next day. It also sheds a lot at first but that got better pretty quickly too. Vacuuming is key with wool, just don't use the brush roller on this one. Overall, I love it!

Review: Great deal on a wool rug esp since it will eventually coat your entire home with white hairs! We had shedding start in earnest after owning for a couple of months. Tried vacuuming, shearing, meticulously trimming with scissors. Nothing stopped it. We're going to return -- thankful for the Ikea return policy.
