Review: This is a beautiful cookbook. I especially liked the section on introducing new tastes to babies and would have loved having it when my daughter was younger. I also found the overviews on techniques for budding chefs engaging. What I didn’t like was that the measurements are in metric units and aren’t consistent with what I expect from a cookbook. Some things are given in grams but others are given in milliliters even though they'd be easier to measure in grams (e.g., flour and sugar). The oven temps are in degrees Celsius. My 8-year-old and I tried one of the recipes and it went so poorly that she decided that she didn’t want to try another one, the exact opposite of the outcome I was hoping for when I bought this book. I understand that IKEA is an international company, but some sort of conversion chart for those of us still using imperial units would have been helpful.
