Review: This Ikea 365 flatware is replacing my overly heavy and ornate Oneida flatware. The 365 set is slender and streamlined with no frills and has a pleasant modern and minimalistic vibe. Though much lighter than the Oneida, each piece has a well-balanced heft that keeps it from feeling like inexpensive flatware. The place-setting comes with two extra pieces that are not usually included in most flatware sets: 8 smaller knives (dessert, butter?) and 8 extra-small spoons that that I assume could be used with small espresso cups or other small serving applications.
I also bought the matching serving set which comes with 4 large serving pieces: Fork, Spoon, Pie server and Gravy Ladle. They are just as wonderful as the place-setting flatware and I highly recommend getting them to round out the set. One small disappointment is that a slotted spoon is not included.
I’m tremendously happy with this purchase. This flatware is exactly what I hoped it would be.
