Review: This is a solid wood dresser for a very attractive price. Like all Ikea furniture it rewards careful assembly. I believe it must be finished in some way - I used white stain, which works great, since you can still see the wood through it. I then waxed the top over the stain for waterproofing. You might want to consider staining the pieces individually BEFORE assembly, but that requires a lot of space and patience (but best end result). Kudos to Ikea for making these solid-strip engineered wood products vs the particle board junk one gets just about everywhere else.

Review: I've bought a lot of IKEA furniture and this piece is the absolute worst piece of junk. Not only is the assembly frustrating, once you finally get it together it looks awful. None of the drawers close fully, never mind even align correctly. It's a total joke. It's going straight in the garbage. What a waste of time and money.

Review title: What I wanted with less than desirable wood quality

Review: I love Ikea and I have loved all of the furniture I have purchased from there over the last 15 years. I actually purchased this same dresser in the middle of 2020, stained it, and it is a beautiful piece. We liked it so much that we wanted to use the same piece in our bedroom but chose to use just a clear coat on it to keep it's natural color. I opened the first of three boxes and began to paint. On the second and third box I noticed that several pieces of wood had patches filled in with wood filler. Very obvious. Unfortunately these pieces are also pieces that will show every single day. So now I have a clear coat over wood filler patched wood. I am going to have to eventually sand and then repaint the whole piece an actual color and will not get to enjoy the wood piece I purchased. To add insult to injury, many of the drawers have varying degrees of gaps between them. I have switched the drawers around to lessen the gaps however some drawers only fit into some openings. Quite a let down from Ikea quality of the past.

Review: One of the inner supports for the drawers wasn’t cut straight or came warped. Dresser isn’t usable because the drawers don’t properly fit. Drawers on the right fit one track and fall off the other. Left side is too tight for drawers. Metal they used for screws is very soft and the heads strip very easily.

Review: Zero stars. I have owned this dresser since 2015 when I bought it for a new home. Because it is made of pine and pine is soft wood, slowly over about a two year period, the thing began to dip in the center. This warping is causing the drawer hardware to slip, so all but the two bottom drawers are off track, crooked and drop suddenly into the drawer below it. You’re a dresser! You have drawers! You have one job and cannot do it! Terrible purchase. I am an ikea fan. I have purchase many pieces of furniture and am in the process of designing a kitchen for an apartment. I redid the kitchen in our house with ikea and I love it. but stay away from this dresser. I have tried to create support under the front middle but it’s too late. I need to get a new dresser and am not happy about having wasted hard earned money on this stupid thing.

Review: I am designer and was looking forward to painting and customizing this dresser. However, after my husband put it together, we realized that the pre-drilled holes do not align. Which left us with crooked drawers that do not close all the way. You can clearly see gaps from the side, also between the drawers and the top of the dresser. It is a very poorly made piece of furniture. My husband is a very handy person, he built many piece of furniture from scratch, but was unable to salvage this dresser. I am very disappointed because after all the time we worked on it, we were left with a useless piece of furniture.
