Countertop with a thick ash veneer, a durable natural material that can be sanded and surface treated when required.
Layer construction adds stability and makes the countertop less sensitive to humidity, thus, less likely to bend, split or crack than solid wood.
For quick installation and easy maintenance the countertop is pre-treated with hard wax oil.
The countertop has a fine line design that gives it a timeless look inspired by sleek modern flooring.
You can cut the countertop to the length you want and cover the edges with the 2 included edging strips.
Good environmental choice, because the method of using a top layer of wood on particleboard is resource-efficient.

Good to know
Ash is a strong hardwood material with a beautiful grain pattern. As it ages the color deepens moderately towards a deep straw color.
Not suitable for use in damp rooms.

Review: Inspired by the image gallery we decided to build a small kitchen island with the pinnarp. It’s a nice, light tone wood laminate. Has a similar look to bamboo. What we didn’t know until we got home to start the project was the bottom of this countertop is a brown paper layer. So if you’re doing an island with Gloss White panels, the brown is really noticeable. So much that we decided to paint the paper white. The adhesive backed laminate bands that are included are very brittle. The directions say to sand the overlap down to the countertop edge. Takes forever to do clean. Anything more aggressive than 100grit will chip the edge. I was hoping the laminate would be a bit thicker. Looks about 1/16” thick. 98% particle board. It gummed my dewalt blade after 2 angled cuts. Keep an extra blade on hand just in case.
