Review: I have had a crap time trying to install this only because the holes in the top rail don’t line up with the studs in the wall. Haven’t even got to use it yet. This was suppose to be a quick and easy project So I set aside a few days just for this project and it’s now taken me weeks working on it between work and everything else. So not entirely the fault of the product but still would have made my life a lot easier if the holes were spaced more thoughtfully to attach to more than one stud per rail.

Review: It takes a lot of measurements to setup properly, but once you've done that, it's pretty easy. There's not a lot of room for error once the rails are installed, so be extra careful when measuring so that everything will line up in the end.

Review: Only one problem.....there is such a demand for this flexible shelving system that all the parts are not in stock and I had to wait for parts to come in to complete. Otherwise outstanding value for the price it is high quality. Just would love it if they had different depths for baskets, short medium and deep.

Review: We installed the BOAXEL system in two closets, in one to replace older wire shelving, and the other was a new closet. These fit well and were very versatile. Our only problem was when my daughter needed to shift where one shelf was, and the bracket bent nearly to the point of breaking. We were a little nervous about bending it back because it seemed thin, but we did bend it back and it is fine. It's only been a few weeks that they've been installed. They seem like they will hold up well.

Review: In the instructions pamphlet, the suspension rails are listed as 25 13/64” (64 cm) and 33 5/64” (84 cm), which is great because the screw holes are in somewhat from the end and would line up over standard 16” or 24” spaced studs. However the rails sold are 24 3/8” (~62 cm) and 32 1/4” (~82 cm), which means only only one end point will line up. I hope this is corrected when I have to add the wall uprights but I am not hopeful. Just something to consider before buying.

Review: I found zero studs when installing, so I used a 20-pack of Toggler 5/16 anchors (and the included screws) from Lowes. This is Lowes product number 132770. The screw heads weren't precisely the right number of millimeters but they gave me a solid mount.

Review title: Easy to install this sturdy shelf system

Review: I just installed two sets of mounting rails and uprights with clothes rods and a shelf in my child's closet. Much like Ikea's kitchen cabinet system, the installation is ingenious since it all hangs from the mounting rail which is easy to level and install. Be aware though that you do need to purchase your own wood screws as they are not included. The shorter suspension rail requires 4 counterhead flat top screws with a top of 1/4 (7mm), and each short upright takes 4 rounded top screws with a top of 5/16 (8mm). I found it best to use a drill to make pilot holes in the top rail before screwing it tight. On the website Ikea suggests that before you mount the uprights you install brackets and a shelf or clothes rail at the top and bottom so you can make sure everything is square and will fit later and that was simple and helpful. After doing that, I drilled pilot holes through the 4 spots on each upright and then installed the screws. It took about 45 minutes to install the main rail, uprights, clothes rail and shelf. It's helpful to have a rubber mallet to put in or take out each bracket as they fit very tight. And the shelf installation is a bit tricky -- you need to raise the front and come down at an angle to engage the hooks on both rears, then make sure the front hooks go in properly. The shelves don't seem to be super sturdy, but I mainly wanted the system for two clothes rails and this Ikea system is a great value and provides flexibility to change in the future.
