Review: The quality of this set of pillowcases was not the same as the sample on display. It is not as smooth which may be due to the many people handling the sample which may have given it a different texture. In addition it did not ring up at the price on the sample or the price on the shelf. The attendant at the register said we should take photos of the price on the sample or shelf. I guess that means it happens quite often and people cannot trust the items to ring up properly. We also noticed multiple items throughout the store in bins or on shelves with no price. And the snack bar with cinnamon rolls, ice cream, etc was closed due to “staffing issues. “Not a great experience overall.

Review: Yes these are a touch rough. I feel like they soften over time. I triple layer the casings on our short term rental pillows. Pillow protector, mid layer and outer layer. I use these as the mid layer and as a back up outer layer. Ironing them makes them smooth and they look crisp and clean on the bed which seems more important to guests than outright softness these days.

Review: The price is reasonable and the pillowcase fits fine on my standard pillows. However, the fabric is a bit rougher than I expected. Sure, I felt the sample in the store, but I figured that 152 thread count (and oddball number, I know) was close enough to 200 and that it would soften up a bit in the wash. We'll see if repeated washings help. I have cheap pillow cases from other stores that don't mention thread count on the packaging that felt softer right out of the package. I'll stick to them and maybe try something else from Ikea next time. Not the worst product ever, but not recommended either. If they get better over time, I'll try to come back and change my rating.
