Review: If you own a gas or conventional electric cooktop there are plenty of inexpensive options for non-stick pans. For induction hobs, the options are limited. I’ve tried pans that have a magnetic plate on the bottom but they do not heat evenly and performance is poor. That means that a “tri-ply” pan is the best option. You can buy an heirloom quality tri-ply pan like an All Clad for 6x the price but it makes no sense for a non-stick. I don’t care what anyone says-a nonstick coating will last 1-2 years under the best circumstances. Value for money is outstanding. When the coating inevitably fails, I can buy 5 more of these before I reach the price of the All Clad.
This pan is a tri-ply construction. It heats up slowly but once up to temperature it’s great. Nothing sticks to it. I recommend not exceeding medium high heat when using any non-stick pan and this one is no exception. That means 6-7 on the settings controller. High heat will ruin the non-stick coating. Unlike many pans, the cooking surface is FLAT not domed so food and oil stay in the center instead of draining toward the edges.
If you are shopping for an induction compatible pan, take a magnet with you. If the magnet doesn’t stick to every part of the pan (aside from the handle) choose something else. I’m really pleased with the quality and performance of this pan. Highly recommended.
