Review: It was relatively easy to put together. I wanted something I could move myself and this fits. It seems to be holding up to everyday use, but I do not have a lot of clothing so I’m not sure how it would do if the drawers were completely full.

Review: This is the fourth IKEA dresser I have bought and self-assembled. The fit and finish quality of the first three gave confidence when we decided to buy this fourth one.
However this “IDANAS” dresser did not live up to the quality standards of its predecessors.
The drawers slide in and out nicely, but they all do not fit inside their openings in the dresser correctly. One drawer actually collides with/scrapes the top of its opening when it closes, even though there is plenty of room beneath the drawer for it to fit correctly.
It’s like the engineers who designed it on a computer aided design system never actually assembled a physical dresser. If they had, they would have seen that the location of pre-drilled holes for mounting the drawer slides were all a couple of millimeters too high for all the drawers to be centered in their openings correctly.
It is the result of either the kind of “rounding error” typical of CAD/CAM designed products that are not field tested adequately before being released into production. Or the result of poor quality control on the production floor.
It’s really too bad. Otherwise this kit product would be a real value for the functionality it provides at its price point.
If you need a dresser like this, you might want to consider a different IKEA product other than this one.

Review: This dresser was relatively easy to set up but did take me about 2.5 hours. I took my time as I did not want to make mistakes or put it together too sloppy. I was able to set it up by just myself. I believe it would be more helpful if the instructions had either words to describe the action or there were letters/numbers on the pieces to better identify them in the instructions. Overall, I am very pleased with the outcome and the dresser looks very nice. I would recommend it.

Review: It wasn't too difficult to assemble although it took a while. I was fortunate that my drawers do close, although one does rub against the wooden beam that runs horizontally between drawers. The beams between drawers sit too low, causing large gaps on the lower side of each drawer (yes, for all 4 drawers). This also means there is little to no gap on the top side, causing drawers to rub against the shelves. It's not just a problem of the function; it also doesn't look great having such large gaps on the bottom and being very tight on the upper sides. Multiple other reviewers also mentioned this identical issue, with some being unable to close the drawers at all. This is a critical design/manufacturing flaw with the pre-drilled holes being too low. The wooden beams also sag a bit in the center, and over time, they will sag even further, causing drawers to no longer close. So depending on your luck, this product may be a complete failure. Looks like mine might last a year or so.

Review: Assembly took awhile, but it was not difficult. The dresser looks great and the frame itself is quite sturdy and heavy. Unfortunately, like many other recent reviews, the pre-drilled holes for the shelves seem to be about 1/8 off. They sit high in their slots and the top of the drawers rub against the frame.
I am sure this review will earn a Whenever there is a quality concern with an assembled item, we recommend visiting our Returns Desk within 180 days of the purchase date, along with your receipt or order confirmation—to get a quality inspection of the product response - but I am note sure how that is feasible for anyone who does not own a pick-up truck or large SUV.
